Feedback Unit 6

Group four presents the 3 basic elements of technology for women’s health, advantages for the technology, and disadvantages of the technology . I identify with the early adulthood range and can attest to using all the different technology examples the group presented. There was clear use of headings and subheadings as needed. The information was presented in a clear , logical fashion that is easy to read and understand. The writers used good grammar and there were no typo errors. The information is useful for healthcare providers. They can educate their patients on the different typ es of technology available for fitness tracking, Meal tracking, menstruation and fertility t racking, health and wellness tracking, and telehealth platforms. They did a great job as a group presenting the information and providing images and videos pertaining to the topic. The most interesting part of the page was the video on privacy concerns while using these health apps. I use an apple watch, mens...

Feedback Unit 6 - Complementary Treatment for Childhood

The website's discussion of "Yoga for Childhood Girls with Anxiety" really spoke to me. I'm a huge supporter of holistic methods for mental health and well-being, and I think yoga may be a really effective additional treatment for anxiety in young girls. The page opens with a beautiful description of anxiety in young girls, stressing the different kinds of pressures they encounter and the symptoms they could show. This lays the groundwork for comprehending the situations in which yoga might be helpful. Most insightful is the section on the advantages of yoga as a complementary treatment. It highlights yoga's positive effects on a child's well-being, self-esteem, and reduction of harmful behaviors. I like how the references to evidence-based studies (Ketchum, 2011; Wei, 2016) demonstrate how beneficial yoga is in lowering anxiety in young girls. Well-stated are the psychological advantages of yoga for young girls, including lowered stress levels, happier moods,...

Unit 6 Feedback (Complementary Medicine)

Hello Karla,     The website page for complementary medicine for elderly years was very organized. Chronic pain is something many older people face and struggle with. You provided a lot of information using evidence based data which made it more interesting to read. I also enjoyed that you added a chart that displays what chronic pain is which makes it easier for the reader to learn more about your topic. I also enjoyed that you provided examples of different types of chronic pain and how elderly women cope with chronic pain. The chart you provided did not have a description. I would add a sentence explaining the chart to make it easier for the audience to read and understand why this chart is important. I also would provide more detailed examples. For example, you mentioned in your paragraph that lifestyle modifications may positively impact chronic pain. I would add 2-3 examples of lifestyle modification that can help women deal with chronic pain. I also enjoyed that ...

Feedback Unit #5

Hi Karla, I enjoyed reading through the information provided on your group’s webpage. Although all women are probably familiar with what a urinary tract infection is, the explanation of the condition and the breakdown of the different types was very educational. As a person with an elderly grandmother who is experiencing a cognitive and physical decline, UTIs are a constant issue that arises. I appreciated how the videos and the photos on the webpage were in line with the written information, and it was nice to see subheadings placed before each section, so that I could prepare myself for the content to come.   There were only a few recommendations that I’d like to mention, with the first being a word of advice. There were a couple of grammatical errors (an extra letter was tagged onto the end of a word). It was clear that it was a mistake, but proofreading before submitting would have caught the error. Another thing that I’d like to recommend citing all the photos and...

Feedback Unit #4- Adulthood Conventional Treatment

Firstly, I would like to thank you for the insightful information you provided on your website regarding cardiovascular disease (CVD) in adult women. It has been incredibly eye-opening to read about your extensive research on this important health issue. Examining the core of the issue, I have discovered that CVD is the leading cause of death for women, highlighting the critical need for knowledge and practical solutions. Your summary of the range of diseases, which includes heart failure, arrhythmias, and coronary artery disease, painted a clear picture of the difficulties we face. Finding the variety of pharmaceuticals available for controlling blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes, as well as aspirin for preventing blood clots, is encouraging while exploring the terrain of conventional treatment. There is optimism because these treatments have been shown to be successful in study, and may have effects ranging from symptom relief to major CVD event avoidance.  I enjoyed readi...

Feedback Unit 5: Conventional Medicine

Hi Karla, Thank you and your group for the information presented on the website page regarding late adulthood/elderly conventional medicine.  The website page design just keeps getting better and better.  I love how the design flows.  It's clean, inviting and easy to follow for the reader.  The graphics are specific to the topic, informative and are appropriate per section.  Discussion of female urinary tract infection (UTI) is  thorough, relevant, and offers up-to-date intervention information that will be helpful to medical professionals as well as the respective population.  I learned more about complex UTI symptoms in the elderly population.  This deep-dive adds valuable knowledge for medical professionals I feel the both the infographics and video media used in this section is relevant to the topic.  Placement of media is, again, well thought out.  Headings and subheadings are bolded, easily visible and well placed and keeping...
